Last weekend my team and I hosted our 3rd annual Twelve Bridges, CA Community Easter Egg Hunt and WOW! What a SUCCESS!
We had two bounce houses, a cotton candy machine, tons of yummy treats, face painting, an activity and craft station thanks to our friends at Atherton Wealth Advisers and of course, the Easter Egg Hunt!
When I am preparing for these events months ahead of time, deciding how many supplies we will need, I always think to myself, "Ok! Last year we had 'x' amount, so this year we can expect this many people..." yet my expectations are always blown out of the water when I see just how many people show up! This year we lost count at over 500 attendees and I have to say I am so so thankful.
Hosting these events through-out the year for our community is something I am so proud to be able to do with my business. There truly is nothing as special as seeing our neighborhood come together and spend quality time with each other! Our kids get to know one another, we get to enjoy the gorgeous weather plus our park that the City of Lincoln works so hard to maintain, but most importantly, we get to have fun!
Much of the growth I have experienced in my business this year (the very thing that allows me to host these events free of charge to the community) is attributed to the many referrals and new clients I have met in our neighborhood, and so it only feels right that this is the way that I give back.
One thing I will add is that despite the success of this event, the growth of this year vs last year was more than I anticipated and I know that despite our best efforts, supplies were still a bit low and organization was less efficient than I wanted.
Because of that, here are a few things we are committed to doing differently for next year's event:
- Increase the amount of eggs to 10,000-15,000 instead of 5,000 and try to eliminate the egg limit per child
- Eliminate the wave times and instead have one start time. At the start time, we will organize the age groups so that no one misses out
- Have more even more water bottles, more treats, more activities and more volunteer's to help with face painting
- Have three bounce houses instead of two to accommodate more of the kids
- Look into a water activity to keep everyone cool
Overall, I feel the event went wonderfully and I am so appreciative to all who came out and participated!

PS! Our next community event is in JUNE! We are hosting our 2nd annual Movie in the Park night which will include a gigantic inflatable movie screen, popcorn, treats and an awesome movie, to be announced!
